Great Features of Myspace

Myspace.com didn’t become famous online because I can do some of the things other websites. In this article we take look at some of these services and offer which you might be familiar with or anything that you use right now.

Myspace.com films. – this special section is dedicated to all the videos that you see in myspace. The best thing about it is that myspace films are mostly indie films creating by starting or start up companies. Myspace unfortunately has the best so far. There are so many things that he can do and various programming languages that you can master. In a span of few weeks, he has to answer the concern of other women so that they can get the people of myspace as their own. Even though it can’t rival youtube.com, you’ll have the time of your life browsing through available films.

Myspace.com videos – if film support is not enough, then this is already something bigger in myspace. Instead of a formal movie created for independent producers, we watch neighborhood video and we just laugh our hearts out. If you’re not convinced on the videos on that part of the site then this should do since you’ll have more just people tripping on their shoes. Comedy.myspace.com will really raise the roof. So keep your eyes open, then next people who will be performing in front of you may be the next Chris Rock or Dave Chappell.

Myspace classifieds. Instead of getting bummed out with nothing to do at all, people who really love myspace could raise some money by getting a job. Listings in classifieds.myspace.com are quite numerous and since they are targeting the younger part of the nation, always expect some labor related jobs. The website listing in myspace has even followed the frame of craigslist where you transfer from one place to another. You can click on a category or you can change the websites or location of jobs while you’re there. Just click on the name of the city and it will give you the available shots.

Myspace forums – the forums on the other hand are really simple. Most of the available problems or things that will affect the younger population of the country are placed here. It’s really a place to discuss things but unfortunately, the forums are not only not used, they are being populated by online marketers by placing so many advertisements. We appreciate a thing or two but more than 10 with the same content is just not good.

Myspace IM – this is what makes the website quite stand out among others social networking site. If you know the person and you see them online, why not talk to them instead of dropping a piece of anything that will take sometime before they will notice it. IM works like most of the messengers and they all have a great time looking for friends to add to their site.

These are only some of the features that you can exploit in myspace.com. Use them as you like but never abuse it for the community.

Nifty Add-ons for Myspace

FraudOn.com     12:27 PM     No comments

For some people, having a myspace.com account with your friends, contacts and some information about your favorite group is enough. But for most of the users, it’s not just about keeping score who is there are who is not there, rather it’s an expression of you are and how smart and cool can you get with the things that you can add to your myspace account. There are so many things that you can add to your myspace and some of them are just quite cheesy. Instead of getting those things, here are some of the recommended tools or add-ons that you can place in your website. If these things will not look good on your site, nothing will.

Instead of using the instant messenger of myspace so that you can talk to the people you know, why not talk to them online using a software that doesn’t even require a download? That’s right you can do that. Minimobs Instant Messenger is a very simple code that you can add in your myspace page. When activated, there will a mobile phone displaying all the names of the people who will also share information with you. There you can see if who’s online and looking at your webpage. If available, you can just click on their names and there you have it: a free messenger. You can also choose from different colors, cell phones that will be used. A must for every webpage.

Just a spur of the moment but why not add something really fancy in your website such as a clock which is available through such sites as getonmyspace.com. You may be placing something not important or useful but think about it as really artistic and fancy. Search for clock generators and you’ll have hundreds of responses and websites to choose from. Get a code that doesn’t require Java so that you’re friends can easily see the clock and won’t have to wait ages just to see what time is it.

Maybe a clock in not really that good of a post to your friends comment page. But here’s something really nice to post especially when you are anticipating an event such as the birthday of someone that you really like. Instead of wishing them a happy birthday, which he or she might have heard a thousand times, why not post a countdown clock for the birthday of your friend! There will be a countdown timer telling you how many days, hours minutes and even seconds towards a specific event. You can even benefit from these as you won’t forget about the event.

Before you go ahead and post these cool add-ons, make sure that they are made not only for popular web browser (Internet Explorer) but for other browsers as well (Mozilla, Opera and Others) that way, all of your friends will appreciate all the things that you have posted. Besides, it takes a little more time to look for these add-ons rather that sending a short messages. The effort is all you need to have these cool add-ons for your website.

How to Create a MySpace Quiz

FraudOn.com     10:46 PM     No comments
A great way to spice up your Myspace page is to post Myspace quizzes. Myspace quizzes are popular because they provide virtually unlimited opportunities to make your Myspace page a place that people will want to visit over and over again. An added bonus is that your Myspace visitors won’t be the only ones to enjoy them; you will have fun making them up. There are lots of quiz makers on the Internet; Google around to see which one you like best.

But before you grab pen and paper (or keyboard), stop! The fact that quizzes allow for so much creativity also means that they require a bit of forethought. It’s incredibly annoying to write one, only to realize that it doesn’t make sense – or to get stuck in the middle without a clue of how to continue. Here are some tips on how to get focused so that you can write a Myspace quiz with minimum frustration and maximum fun.

There are four main factors to consider when writing Myspace quizzes:
1) Subject
2) Type
3) Content
4) Length

1) Subject. You want to choose a subject that will be fun to write and will still accomplish its purpose (bringing more visitors to your page). That means that it has to be interesting to you as well as to the types of Myspace friends you want to make. While some interests can be universal, others are very specific – and you want your quizzes to appeal to the greatest number of people possible. So if you love movies, and you enjoy talking to people about the movies they’ve seen, then writing up different kinds of movie quizzes would be a great idea for you. (Some ideas: General Hollywood trivia, guess-which-movie, specific movie trivia, and movie quotation quizzes.) If you’re a people-watcher, then personality quizzes might be the way to go – quizzes like which horoscope should you be, what do your eyes say about you, which colors match your personality best, etc. If you love politics, then current events and Washington personality quizzes could work. Since all of these subjects also go under the category of general interest – meaning, they interest lots of different kinds of people – you can feel free to write quizzes about them. However, even if you happen to be fascinated with the migration habits of monarch butterflies, writing a quiz about them will probably not increase your Myspace visitors by an appreciable margin. I think you get the picture.

2) Type. Will your quiz be multiple choice, fill in the blank, or free choice – meaning, questions that are multiple choice but have no right or wrong answer? To a certain extent, this depends on the subject of your quiz. Trivia questions generally lend themselves to multiple choice or fill in the blank answers, as do “guess which…” quizzes. Free choice answers are more for personality-type quizzes like the ones mentioned above. Just be sure to consider the amount of time it’ll take you to write them up. Multiple choice questions are easy. But if you’re writing a quiz like “if you were a cartoon character, who would you be?”, then you’re going to have to come up with results for every possible combination of answers. While this is obviously much harder, they are also the quizzes that are most fun for people to do. So think about how much time and effort you want to invest before deciding on your answer type.

3) Content. Content and pictures that are either offensive or vulgar will not be appreciated by most people who visit your site. Although some think that these are great attention-grabbers, the attention is short-lived. In the long run, people may be very turned-off. And wouldn’t it be a shame to put effort into a quiz and then find out that the number of your Myspace visitors went down?

4) Length. Quizzes can range from one-answer to as many as you like. Keep in mind, though, that people don’t want to spend more than a few minutes doing a quiz. So I wouldn’t recommend more than ten or twelve questions at most.

To Join or not to Join Myspace

There are so many reasons why you have to join myspace.com and there also so many reasons why you would think twice in joining such website. Although there’s no proper debate whether you have to join or not, there are people that will advice you not to join these social networking sites while there are others who doesn’t see the problem in joining them.

One of the reasons why you shouldn’t join these types of websites is security. This is especially applicable for those that are not of legal age yet. There are sexual predators that cloak themselves with very sympathetic ideas to anyone who has a problem. Kids who sometimes get frustrated at school and family tend to rant on things in the blogs of their myspace webpage. There they start giving clues about themselves. And predators will have the chance to take a look at a more personal level of other people and they will try to connect to what they feel. They start to bond and then horrors will just start there. Without the social websites, your kids can just go online, watch some free clips online or play family friendly games.

Not only is it dangerous for kids but for adults also. You might reply on a classified being placed online in myspace classifieds. But the catch is that you’ll have to pay them before you can actually work for them. Before you start thinking of paying them, don’t. There are so many crooks out there that all they wanted is your money. You can easily find them offering home based jobs stuffing envelopes and entering data online. It’s sounds really great but too great and they are using the myspace classifieds especially to those who are not really familiar with online scams.

However, there are so many good things in myspace that you can think about on top of your head. That’s why millions are online everyday just to update their list of friends.

If you have an account for personal use, you can easily get hold of your long lost friends. They may change their phone number or email, but they can’t just change their myspace page since there are already tons of contacts there. You may lose their number but you can always get in touch with them anytime through myspace.

Businessmen can also myspace to create contacts that have the same interests. They can swap ideas or even trade services and from there they can get bigger and bigger or even have more clients because of the popularity they have in the website.

Artists, musician can also have a chance to express their art freely in myspace. There’s a page for these people and from there they can have a number of fans that will like their music. In fact, some of the known singers nowadays started in myspace and people started to really get crazy about their songs and before they know it, they already have a million dollar record deal.

These are only some of the reasons why have or don’t have to join these social networks. It’s still up to you whether you wanted to join these networks. Either way, be sure to protect yourselves and your family online.

The history of myspace.com is a little techie to some or even business like to others. Sometimes we imagine that the creator of the website is some geek who spends too much time in their garage or in their room with the computer. When they launched the site, they though that it will be a fun site for friends but it slowly became bigger and bigger until it was uncontrollable and the earnings of the website through ads is exponential. If that was the story, that should have summed it all and we don’t have to continue to telling it to you. However, the story is so different; some people may think it’s boring. But if you look deeper, you’ll see something very strategic that you’ll be impressed on how they can think of things in the future. The only similarity of the fictional and the real story maybe the people that have developed this has spent so much time in front of their PC.

Myspace.com is not owned by a single person or a group of very techie friends. Rather the website is originally owned by eUniverse, now known as Intermix. The company technically doesn’t own them as their plan is to develop them and sell them to the highest bidder. When they created the website and tried to sell it to the market, they didn’t sell only the formula, the server requirements or things like that but they also include all the proper manpower such as HR, technical group, programmers and other things. This is because if someone actually buys them they will never have the problem of managing a start up company and hire people from the scratch.

Since there were no takers yet, they decided to maintain them in their own. Launched in August of 2003, the first members were the actual employees of eUniverse. The staff was then challenged to make the website as popular as it is. Surprisingly, it worked. Not only people have started to join myspace.com, but communities as well. They have decided to create other services and through time, as they add their services the number of subscribers grew and it became a hit in the country. Currently almost every teen has their own myspace.com account and the popularity is just keep getting growing and growing. The project was supervised by Allan Greenspan.

In July 2005, because of its popularity; somebody did bought the website. We can share the millions of dollars because of the popularity that most websites expect big but not now. Those that had worked under Greenspan are now the biggest names in the industry. Chris deWolfe is now the CEO and Tom Anderson is the president of Myspace. They used to work as someone in the programming department and when the merger or the sale of the website came, their hard work is surely to be answered.

As of this writing, the website is barely four years old. But the popularity of the website in the country is really widespread that it makes people think that some geek who just became millionaires because of the website.

How to Make an Outstanding MySpace Page

FraudOn.com     1:48 AM     No comments

It all starts with a MySpace editor. What is a MySpace editor? It is a program to help you edit your MySpace page. There are many MySpace editors online and while they all have more or less the same basic format, they differ in terms of ease-of-use and number of features. Before you start editing your page, you should take a look at a few MySpace editors to see which one feels most user-friendly to you. Our MySpaceMix.com editor has several features that you might not see on other MySpace editors – all of which are designed to make it as easy to use as possible, even for MySpace newbies.

But no matter which of the MySpace editors you decide to use, there are a few simple guidelines to follow to make your page look terrific.

First, let’s go through the features that are common to all MySpace editors. They include:
Mode, Background Color, Background Image, Background Music, Font, Main Text, Link Text, Image Borders and Image Effects.

You choose what to enter into each section, generate a MySpace code, and then copy and paste to your MySpace page.

Sounds simple, right?

Then why, do my friends ask, does my page so often come out differently than I imagined it?

Well, there are a few reasons. One is that it is hard to imagine how your page will look when you are clicking on a bunch of little color squares. The other is that lots of people aren’t aware of some basic web design rules that can help you avoid all those clashes on your page.

The first rule is color. Make a list of the different elements on your page, and decide what kind of color scheme you want. For example, do you want matching or contrasting colors? Do you want your page to look preppy, cute or bold? Do you like pastels or brights? Once you've made a decision, you can look at the color squares and decide which colors will fit best with the look you want for your page.

The next step is the font. There are too many choices of beautiful fonts out there that would look gorgeous on a party invitation or a billboard but horrible on a MySpace page. You want to choose a font that has character to it, but is very clear on-screen. A good example is Comic Sans Serif. It’s easy to read, and since it imitates the handwriting used for comics, it has an informal, friendly character to it. While you wouldn’t use it on a business or professional site, it’s perfect for your web page. Another good choice is Verdana, which is also very screen-friendly. If you prefer fonts with serifs (those are the fine cross-lines at the edges of the letters), then Georgia is the way to go. It’s pretty, and is much easier to read on-screen than Times New Roman.

Now you have to decide if you want a background image or music. If you want an image, keep this in mind: When there’s a single picture stuck in the middle of a MySpace page that doesn’t go away, it can be very annoying to read the text, especially if the picture is in full color. Try using a black and white or sepia image that stretches across the entire background and is faint enough that it doesn’t interfere with the text. Background music is fine, just make sure that it doesn’t extend the download time of your page by too long, or nobody will have the patience to wait around.

Finally, the borders. These can be very useful in setting apart the different sections of your page, and giving the whole thing a very neat, organized look. You should select colors that are darker or bolder than the other colors you chose, because that’s what will give the borders the contrast you need to make them stand out.

Now that you have these pointers in mind, choose your layout and make your page stand out!

Using MySpace Codes to improve your MySpace page

FraudOn.com     1:30 AM     No comments

MySpace is a great place for meeting new friends and keep in contact with relatives and friends who live far away. Everybody wants to enhance the MySpace profile in order to have a unique and attractive MySpace page.

Usually you want to keep some details private which are avaiable only by a few friends or relatives. But how can you do this? Myspace codes assist you in personalization of your profile. Here are some examples for codes which are quite useful.

Centering the profile - many of us want to keep our profile in the center of the web page just because it looks good. The code for this is available on many Myspace Codes websites. You just have to copy the code and paste it into the appropriate section of your MySpace profile. Then just save it and refresh your profile in order to see the centered page.

Hiding the contact table - What if you do not want to be contacted by others? Just use a MySpace Code snippet and paste it into your profile. You are still able to communicate with each other, but they can not contact you. This protects against a lot of spam. You can delete the code at any time and your profile is visible for other members.

Image Codes - you can use these types of codes in order to use your own images in your profile. Just upload them to one the the free image hosting websites and copy the URL of the image into a text box which comes up when choosing this option at one of the MySpace codes websites out there. They will provide the final code snippet which can be used in your MySpace page.

Hide myspace comments - you can hide you comments section of your profile just by using the appropriate MySpace cpde.

Remove add a comment link - If you do not want to receive feedback you can use a code snippet and disable the comments section for other members.

There are many other codes available which can be used to improve your MySpace profile and make it look better. It just takes a couple of minutes...

Myspace for Business

FraudOn.com     12:44 AM     No comments

One of the reasons people go to myspace.com is for business reasons. It may be odd for most people since myspace is something really personal. You go to myspace to express yourself and get a hold of your friends and sometimes you drop them a line or two just to make sure they are still there are you remember them. You can personalize your page as fancy as it gets with nothing to hold you back and your blog can be as ranting or as romantic as possible whatever the feeling that you will get for that day. The name “my space” even tells us that it’s a very personal site for some people.

However, for most of the entrepreneur who sees everything as an opportunity, myspace.com is just another platform for getting more contacts and creates a buzz through the networking capability of the website. It’s not that they are scamming people towards their business, these are legitimate entrepreneurs who know someone, somewhere needs a specific product or services and they are the ones who can provide the very thing that they need. If you’re a businessman you will easily understand the idea.

But how do you create a page for business reasons?

Since myspace is a personal page for introducing yourself to others, your website should be as formal but not too strict. You have to tell them that you’re there and you represent something. In myspace you don’t sell products, you figuratively sell yourself to others. If people will like you based on what you project, say and do to your site, interest will rise up and you can easily introduce your product and services to them.

Aside from creating something really decent about yourself in myspace, there are other parts of myspace that you can use in order to inform people who you are and what you sell. The classifieds is like a craiglist form of advertising and you can use that for product advertisement for free.

There are also forums in myspace that you can use. Though it’s not as popular as the classifieds, there are still people who have time and take a look at the things that are posted online. You might not get lucky for the first time but there will come a time that someone will be interested in your services. A tip: do not overdo your advertisement on forums. Sometimes, the forums just go unchecked for spammers that you can’t see any of the topics anymore. All you have a page of advertisements that tells the same thing over and over again. Now that’s really a spam. So to protect yourself, you should at least advertise once a day or week so that people will not label you as someone who came from a multi-level-marketing corporation whose only aim is to get new membership without selling anything.

If you’re really familiar with myspace and you’re on a business, be sure to incorporate that to have something extra. Not only you get to have fun in the internet, you earn something in return too.
