There are many reasons to have a website. They range from personal vanity websites to photo galleries to full blown e-commerce sites. Making money on the web costs less than almost any other type of business you could start. There are countless ways to make money online. Learning to create a website that sells will get you started on the e-commerce journey.

Determine what you plan on selling. Information sells better than almost anything else on the internet. Best of all, it has little cost attached to it. Simply create a digital product, throw up a sales page and you could be making money within the day. Sites that can help you get started selling digital products include Clickbank.

Become an affiliate and sell other people's products for a commission. This method is as specialized as any other listed here but is effective. Sites like Clickbank will let you promote digital products, hard goods – pretty much anything, and make a commission on every sale. You will still need to get traffic in order to make money but you can make money selling other people's products and services.

You could also choose to sell hard goods. The easiest place to do this is through an auction site like Ebay. Using Ebay's auction site, you can literally sell anything you would sell in a retail store. In fact, people even sell things like real estate, cars and more. The great thing about something like Ebay is that they have already paid millions of dollars to get traffic to their website. You pay Ebay a percentage of your sale in return for access to that traffic. There are lots of people making a very nice living selling goods through Ebay. It is even possible to sell digital goods like e-books through Ebay.

One of the simplest ways to get a website built fast is to use a web site builder. These web site builders will allow you to throw up a professional looking website in as little as an hour. Many have e-commerce capabilities and help you get started selling online in no time at all. Good web site builders will allow you to edit changes quickly and easily. They will offer things like unlimited pages, lots of disk space for images, lots of bandwidth where you won't have to pay if anything extra if you get a surge of traffic.

Whether you build your website from scratch or use a web site builder, you too can cash in on the revolution sweeping the world that is the internet.

How to Create a Splash Page for Your Website?

FraudOn.com     9:09 AM     No comments

Whenever we go surfing on the internet, we find many websites interesting enough for us to read. In addition to these websites, we can find many pages called splash pages on the internet. Splash pages are introductory pages to a web site. It generally offers some of these features to the viewer; a graphic or a logo design, a choice of entering the site through either a flash design or a design with no flash and sometimes even technical requirements like about the browser, version, etc. needed for that specific site. A splash page is also known as a main entry page housing a graphic image and link for visitors to enter a web site.

These splash designs prove to be quite popular, especially among the designers as they allow the designer to show their skills in flash and any other technology on a single page. The splash page design involved in the splash page will be one that is very attractive to the eye of the viewer. Its main intention lies in captivating the viewer the moment he looks at it. It can be a stationary design or an animated design, which in turn makes it more interesting to look at!

There are quite a few advantages and disadvantages to a splash page. The main advantage of a splash page is that through a splash page, one can get all the information required on the first page of the website without much scrolling as splash pages are fast loading. And just think, after all that effort put into the making of that animation or flash splash page design, you can be confident that through a splash page, the visitors of the site at least see the splash design at least once. Splash pages are a great way to show off the best work you can produce, and thus also act as a portfolio of your work and work capacity for potential employers. As the splash page states the technical requirements required for their particular website, it allows the reader to choose, prior to visiting the site, the technology that best fits them and their computers. It is also a great means of using your server logs to get the complete breakdown of the actual number of customers to the website.

The cons to splash pages are not that many or major. It is only that some readers do not like splash pages as it prevents them from entering the website immediately, and thus may leave the site upon seeing the splash page. Splash pages also tend to break search engines as most splash pages have a redirect. It should be remembered that splash pages cannot be used for sending emails to a third party. As it can be seen, the pros of a splash page heavily outweigh the cons of a splash page. It all lies down on how one accepts a splash page on seeing it! Remember, splash pages are fun to build. They are very creative and allow the user to play around with animation and sound, to get the desired splash page design they need!

How to Create a MySpace Quiz

FraudOn.com     10:46 PM     No comments
A great way to spice up your Myspace page is to post Myspace quizzes. Myspace quizzes are popular because they provide virtually unlimited opportunities to make your Myspace page a place that people will want to visit over and over again. An added bonus is that your Myspace visitors won’t be the only ones to enjoy them; you will have fun making them up. There are lots of quiz makers on the Internet; Google around to see which one you like best.

But before you grab pen and paper (or keyboard), stop! The fact that quizzes allow for so much creativity also means that they require a bit of forethought. It’s incredibly annoying to write one, only to realize that it doesn’t make sense – or to get stuck in the middle without a clue of how to continue. Here are some tips on how to get focused so that you can write a Myspace quiz with minimum frustration and maximum fun.

There are four main factors to consider when writing Myspace quizzes:
1) Subject
2) Type
3) Content
4) Length

1) Subject. You want to choose a subject that will be fun to write and will still accomplish its purpose (bringing more visitors to your page). That means that it has to be interesting to you as well as to the types of Myspace friends you want to make. While some interests can be universal, others are very specific – and you want your quizzes to appeal to the greatest number of people possible. So if you love movies, and you enjoy talking to people about the movies they’ve seen, then writing up different kinds of movie quizzes would be a great idea for you. (Some ideas: General Hollywood trivia, guess-which-movie, specific movie trivia, and movie quotation quizzes.) If you’re a people-watcher, then personality quizzes might be the way to go – quizzes like which horoscope should you be, what do your eyes say about you, which colors match your personality best, etc. If you love politics, then current events and Washington personality quizzes could work. Since all of these subjects also go under the category of general interest – meaning, they interest lots of different kinds of people – you can feel free to write quizzes about them. However, even if you happen to be fascinated with the migration habits of monarch butterflies, writing a quiz about them will probably not increase your Myspace visitors by an appreciable margin. I think you get the picture.

2) Type. Will your quiz be multiple choice, fill in the blank, or free choice – meaning, questions that are multiple choice but have no right or wrong answer? To a certain extent, this depends on the subject of your quiz. Trivia questions generally lend themselves to multiple choice or fill in the blank answers, as do “guess which…” quizzes. Free choice answers are more for personality-type quizzes like the ones mentioned above. Just be sure to consider the amount of time it’ll take you to write them up. Multiple choice questions are easy. But if you’re writing a quiz like “if you were a cartoon character, who would you be?”, then you’re going to have to come up with results for every possible combination of answers. While this is obviously much harder, they are also the quizzes that are most fun for people to do. So think about how much time and effort you want to invest before deciding on your answer type.

3) Content. Content and pictures that are either offensive or vulgar will not be appreciated by most people who visit your site. Although some think that these are great attention-grabbers, the attention is short-lived. In the long run, people may be very turned-off. And wouldn’t it be a shame to put effort into a quiz and then find out that the number of your Myspace visitors went down?

4) Length. Quizzes can range from one-answer to as many as you like. Keep in mind, though, that people don’t want to spend more than a few minutes doing a quiz. So I wouldn’t recommend more than ten or twelve questions at most.

ColorImpact is an award winning software for creating harmonious color schemes. The program is based on the color wheel used by artists for centuries. The artist's use of complementary colors, or colors opposite on the color wheel, creates an exciting painting.

There are a lot of great tools in ColorImpact, such as Matching Colors Wheel, Color Variations, Color Blender and Test Patterns. The Main Menu area is like a control center for this program and lets you explore the color tools.

The color tools let you adjust colors in the palette in order to better suit your needs. For example, the Color Variations panel lets you add and modify variations to the colors in the color palette, while the Color Blender gives you the power to create intermediary colors between any two end colors.

But the most useful tool for niche website builders is the Color Composer, that allows you to experiment and see how your color schemes look when used on real web page designs.

Color Composer

The Color Composer is an advanced color scheme designer for web pages. The flexible user interface allows you to combine one of several html templates with a number of predefined and user defined color formulas or preselected colors.

Want a quick set of pleasantly looking and harmonious colors for your new website? Simply launch the Color Composer and pick a Formula Base Color. The base color window pops up. It is a flexible color picker that gives you full control when selecting the base color.

Pick the base color, and the Composer will instantly give you color suggestions for the following main elements of a webpage:

* Page Header: Background, Logo and Top Bar
* Sidebar: Background, Heading, Heading Background, Menu Item and Menu Item Background
* Content: Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Text, Background
* Links

Play with it! Pick colors from the Base Color circle and see how good the Composer is in selecting the best matches for webpage elements. When you're done, click File > Export Colors… and save you color scheme as a CSS file.

Creating a color scheme for your website has never been this easy!

Note: This review intentionally refers to an older version of the ColorImpact, known as ColorImpact Classic. Although, ColorImpact version 3 is available, in my opinion, the Color Composer in the Classic version is easier to use and more intuitive. Moreover, the ColorImpact Classic costs $20 less.

15-day trials are available for both versions of the program. The trials have no features disabled, so you can take advantage of them all while testing it. ColorImpact has a well organized and intuitive user interface and an extensive help documentation.

Tips To Create A Good Looking Website.

FraudOn.com     3:17 AM     No comments
Creating a website is something anyone can do today with the advent of many application or website generators available today. But, creating a appreciable and good looking website needs a lot of thought process and skills. The following would help:

1. Think of a theme or idea for the website.

What does your site speak about or what do you want the site to speak about? Put yourself in the shoes of the visitor and think why you should visit this particular site and not one of the numerous others? Always try to offer something extra that a visitor needs or wants. After you close your thought process on this, proceed to point no. 2.

2. Now that you have the idea ready, what else do you need?

An idea itself is not enough to create the website. Give a thought to web design. Design is a process of visualizing the idea by finalizing the layout, colors and more importantly the content. Colors and their combinations are very essential, since if you end up using the wrong ones, the visitor may have difficulty in reading the content which is the most important part of the site. The visitor will leave, never to come back. It is important to visualize the web site design on paper or a image file to get a proper preview.

3. Finding a web-host.

You can host your site for free; there are many sites which offer this in lieu of placing an advertisement on your site. If you are running a business, it is advisable that you get your own web host. It is not very expensive to do so.

4. Start off with web development.

Now that your web design has been finalized after numerous changes, it is time to develop the site as per the design specification. Knowledge of basic HTML becomes essential to create a quality site. There is no need to get into the tags and formats but it is necessary to know what HTML is and how it works. There are numerous HTML development engines available which work on the WYSIWYG guidelines, a basic knowledge of HTML will help you create a better website. This knowledge will come handy when you try to fix the errors on your site.

5. View your handiwork.

While viewing your webpage do not forget the important factors:

1. Loading speed – Is it fast? 2. Is it easily navigable? 3. Is the content error free? 4. Is there anything that visitors would need or find useful?

This is only the tip of the iceberg. These factors are extremely important and most people seem to ignore them resulting in a poor preventability. The idiom “First impression is the last impression” holds good while you try to publicize your site.

6. Create the rest of the pages.

Create the rest of your pages with the above points in mind. Follow the hierarchy and don’t get confused.

7. Make your site go live.

Preview your pages and after being satisfied, upload it to your web host. The next step is to promote your site. Promoting is required to inform others about the presence and content of your site.

The process of web design and development is a cycle. To make people visit your site again and again, it is important to update your site at least every two weeks with good and latest content available to you. Make sure the updates are interesting.

Best Methods to Create your Outline for your Articles

FraudOn.com     4:13 AM     No comments

We’ve done it through junior high, it expanded longer through high school, then on college it became chapters. No matter how many times a person have done it, writing articles has proven to be a task many has continuously avoided. Now at a time when writing articles could help your job or work, facing the job at hand can be still faced with unfriendly behavior.

While there are a great number of people who do not have the same attitude in article writing as others, there are still those who would rather walk in piping hot coals than do some article writing. What set other people apart from other towards article writing is that they are prepared and has some methods and procedures in writing articles.

One of the methods you can use to prepare yourself when tasked to write in article is creating an outline first. Creating an outline for all your articles makes you prepared. You have an idea of what to do first and make a plan for your succeeding steps. Being prepared makes the job easier and faster. Being organized will allow for disorientation to be shunned away.

An outline can act as the design or blueprint for your article. This will guide you in creating the introduction, body and conclusion of your article. Here in this point, you can write down some of the ideas and sentences that you feel will look good in your article. This could be some of the focal point that could help make your article creative, interesting and appealing to a reader.

A carefully planned and fully prepared project would guarantee and ensure a problem and worry free procedure that can virtually go without any hassles. Creating an outline for all your articles will get you ready and breeze through writing an article in no time at all. Here I will provide you with some tips and guidelines in how to create an outline for all of your articles.

Do a couple of brainstorming and jot down your brilliant ideas first. Think of some ways to attract the interest of your reader. Designate a time frame where you can write down all the ideas that you can use for your articles. By this time you should have done all your research and information searching. Review and reread your ideas and notes, gain mastery and sufficient familiarity with your topic so that writing them down later own would be easy for you.

The next step is to discover your sub topic and sub titles. As you would provide a first sentence for your article, one that would immediately grab the attention of your reader, you would need some as well for your sub topics. To be concise, you would need to get all the facts that will support and go against your point.

These are the frames or skeleton of your article, now its time to add the flesh and the meat of your article. You will need to connect all your paragraphs and sub topics. This will form the body of your Article. While the introduction will usher in the ideas of your paragraph, you will need a conclusion. The conclusion will wrap up your points and drive in what you are saying in your article.

The outline for your article would also require you to write a draft first. This may take more than one attempt but remember that it is called a draft for a reason. Your outline shall be perfected as each draft is written and this draft is meant for your eyes only so there’s no reason to feel ashamed. As you go on, you will clearly see the bigger picture and write an article that will perfectly suit what is demanded of it.

Reread and reread what you have written down. Always refer to your outline so that you wont drift away from what you had first written down. Its not hard to be caught in the moment and get lost in your writing frenzy. Your outline will help you keep in track. All those hours spent in outlining your art

6 Easy Ways to Create a Website

FraudOn.com     1:34 AM     No comments

How? Here it is...

1. Conceptualize an idea. Think what you like your future website to be. What audience will you cater? Everything you do must redound to their fulfillment. They will be visiting to get what they need. Be sure that their needs are answered. That way they will be satisfied and will keep coming for more. Not only that, they can recommend your site to their friends if they find it functional and nice.

2. Find a host. Having a host is not that expensive. In fact you can get one at $70 for two years. However, if you don want to spend a single penny, there are lots of sites that are hosting for free. The only consideration is that their banner must be placed in your site. That for one is a great deal, isn’t it?

3. Start with your first page. Do the layout and design your first page. It will be easier and better if you have basic knowledge in HTML. Though there are hundreds of What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editors, but you will create a better site using HTML. There are tutorial sections available online. Take advantage on them and apply your knowledge to the web design you are creating.

4. Edit your page. Observe the loading and the navigation. Are they doing well? How about the web design, is it pleasing to the eyes? Are the fonts readable? Is the content helpful? Are there errors in spelling and grammar? Better check all these little details. They may be tiny details but they make up the whole website. Be careful in dealing with them. If there is a need to redo the page do it. It will be disastrous if you are displaying a total trash.

5. Do the rest of the pages. The goal is to attract visitors, keep them and to gain more.

Edit, proofread and edit more. It pays off to have everything in order. Never sacrifice the quality of your website. It is your frontline. It is the one capable of attracting visitors that makes your business sell.

6. Submit the pages to your host. After you are done with the pages and the editing, you can submit them to your host. Wait for it to be shown in the net. Do not forget to update the pages regularly. You have to be updated in order not to lose your target market. Otherwise, they will look for a better site that can satisfy their needs. You don’t want that to happen, do you?

You may not realize it but your site is already done. Easy as your ABC’s!
